On Friday night, February 1st, a triple exhibit Artists' Reception took place at the Gallery. It was attended by 150 people, who came from as far away as Sacramento, Redding, Chico, Shingletown, and points in between! Judi sold several pieces and the "Jackpot" show had a tremendously positive response from the public. Every piece in the show had votes. See the list of winners by clicking here.
The Grand Opening of the Gallery and Artist's Reception for the first Exhibits at the Red Bluff Art Gallery on December 7th and 8th were a huge success. To see just who was there and how the place looked, click here.

Darleen Koontz, Superintendent of Lassen Volcanic National Park, cut the ribbon to open the new Gallery and "The Beauty of Lassen" exhibit. John Roth, Head Ranger was on hand and gave visitors informative and interesting answers to their variety of questions.

Both nights were jammed with visitors. The Red Bluff Daily News sent Reporter Karen McIntyre to cover the event on Friday. Karen, who graduated from Chico less than a year ago, took photos, asked insightful questions, and interviewed visitors. She wrote a nice piece for the Saturday paper, which resulted in even more visitors on Saturday night, as well as a steady stream during the week following the opening.
No food or drink was served at this Opening, and sales were steady, despite numerous forecasts that "art only sells when the visitors are drinking wine". "Refreshment" is an option that Artists choose for their own Receptions. Phil and Anastasia opted to donate their refreshment budget to the local Food Bank .
The opening Exhibits, which run through January 25th, include "The Beauty of Lassen" in the Solo Gallery; "The Bhavana Project" in the Group Gallery, "Tehama Life" in the Group Gallery, and "Bless the Peace Faggots" in the Miniature Gallery.
Artists showing currently, include Karie Hiam, Reeba Barrows, Aranda Bowman, Beverly Kelley, Janet Flanagan, Phil Dynan, Anasatasia, Linda Ross, Jeff Fennel, Mac McMahon, Lisa Ann Thompson, Jennifer Debose, Connie Maxey, Barbara Luzzadder, Bruce Ross, and River Wolf, among others.
