Judi Forney, Artist

Creating art that connects with spirit!

A Sharing of personal visions is what I want to convey to my viewing audience. My work is mystical in content and the style of rendering hovers between visionary and romantic. A lonely quality sometimes emerges from the painting, which the I feel is representative of each individuals singular path through life.

My art work has been exhibited extensively throughout the Bay Area over the last twenty-five years. I’ve had one artist shows at the Foster City Museum Gallery, Santa Rosa Recreation Center, The Corridor Gallery at Sequoia Hospital and the Martinez Civic Art
Gallery. In addition to individual shows, I have continuously
participated in group shows and competitions. I’ve won awards for oil paintings, photographs as well as original needlework designs. I maintained a studio in Belmont at the Arts Council Headquarters for over a year, demonstrating and displaying my work there.

My technical instruction was obtained at the College of San Mateo; however, I consider myself to be largely self-taught. This enabled me to create a body of work that has a “signature style”.

To leave you with the artists thoughts….

“Perhaps the intended role of the worlds’ creative souls is to share their flights through inner space. To introduce the brilliance of the universe filtered through their own unique perspective and to share those visions with others.”
