KIMBERLY SHOW: ARTIST
Born and raised in northern California, I have always “created”. From tie-dye, to knitting. From quilt making to cloth shopping bags. Now my art is in the form of pine needle baskets embellished with abalone. Vintage beads and abalone redesigned into jewelry. The abalone I use for my baskets and jewelry is found on the beach. Shaped by the ocean and sand.
My grandmother taught me to make pine needle baskets when I was about 10. Pine needle basketry, conceived by Native Americans in Pre-Columbian times, is now a viable part of our American cultural heritage.
MATTHEW SHOW: ARTIST
Growing up on the central coast of California inspired the art I do today.
Swimming, diving, surfing, fishing, tide pooling, gave me in depth knowledge of what goes into my work.
My boats are built from hundred year old redwood. One of a kind designs. If you’d like your boat transformed into one of redwood, please contact me.
My abalone art is my own design. Abalone collected from northern California beaches, the way mother nature intended. Each piece is put together and shaped by hand. People and creatures of my own design.
