Kyle Cameron Hanson
Kyle Cameron Hanson, the son of
Sharyi and Michael Hanson, was born
in 1995. Born with Pierre-Robin Syntax
and Pyloric Stenosis, Kyle underwent
several surgeries as an infant and had
a Tracheostomy until he was 2 ½ years
old.
He was subsequently diagnosed with
ADHD, Asperger Syndrome and Early
Onset Bipolar Disorder.
In the face of these challenges, Kyle excelled in school and developed an early interest in artistic expression.
He’s also an avid reader and has a
deep appreciation of music. He loves to play video games and he’s
worked with computers since the age of three.
About three years ago, Kyle was taking an online art class offered by GEE
Art at GEEguides.com. While his dad was listening to “Come Again” from
the album, “Songs from the Labyrinth,” Kyle began working on a
computer art project. When the music ended, Kyle said, “Hey, dad, would
you like to see what that music looks like?”
His “painting” was a Fantasia-like collage of colors and images that
reflected the beauty of the song. Kyle says he sees music in images in his
mind and then paints them on his computer screen.
Kyle's art is presented in 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 prints suitable for framing.
His artwork is created using a computer mouse in Corel's Painter X
computer program.
