Artist's Statement:

I work primarily in watercolours. The fluidness and dynamics of working with this medium suits my needs. The mixing of pigments...the flow of water...the multiple glazes...to create an image on a blank piece of paper .... all bring a thrill to me.

If a person connects with one of my paintings then my joy is multiplied. My studio overlooks the garden and orchard of my home in Tehama CA, a small community nestled along the banks of the beautiful Sacramento river.

Most of my work is also available in giclee prints using heavy archival paper. These prints will last a life time. I have recently returned from a trip to Bali, bringing back numerous large hand carved stone statues, which will be the basis for a new series of paintings.
